The Path of lemons
The path of lemons is dedicated to the product that makes the Amalfi Coast famous all over the world: the lemon.
Like other paths scattered along the Coast, it was the ancient way of travel between the villages of Minori and Maiori. It is in fact possible to follow it in both directions with a pleasant walk of about an hour.
Along the way it is possible to admire, in addition to the lemon groves, olive trees and vegetables gardens. Everything is embellished by the wonderful views.
A very panoramic point is "belvedere la mortella" (dialect word referring to the myrtle plant) from where it is possible to admire Minori from the above, the mountains of Ravello and Scala and in the distance Atrani and Amalfi.
Near Minori there is also the Annunziata bell tower, dating back to the 12th century.
Half way there is the ancient village of Torre with the Church of San Michele Arcangelo from the 10th century.
On the side facing Maiori, the breathtaking view spreads over the Norman Tower and the longest beach on the Amalfi Coast.
All you have to do is start this amazing walk and follow the scent of lemons.
